A messy desk doesn’t always reflect a messy mind. It’s nearing the end of summer and that means it’s time to tidy up after all the new projects and hobbies I experimented on in the Houston heat.

Three pages a day - that’s a noble and very attainable goal (or so it sounds) – I just wish that I had a notebook and pencil handy when the urge to write comes. I start every work day with a story – it’s a shame I can’t remember them past the first minute at my desk.

No agent as of yet, but I’m still very early in the game. There have been two very polite rejections and a hopeful out-of-office reply. I’m not exactly sure which is worse, though – the actual dashing of hope emails or the days of waiting with endless snippets of information that demand obsessing over. I’m prone to making charts… and querytracker is an opioid. I need to stop.

I’ve had one visitor to the blog - yay! I guess that means I need to start adding a bit more in case there is anyone else accidentally clicking over here. I’ve had many thoughts on what to include here. I just didn’t have the motivation to focus. Thank you blog visitor, you are the kick in the pants I needed.
